Anti-Discrimination Policy Statement

Discrimination is strictly prohibited at New Horizon Special School. We do not tolerate unequal treatment, harassment, or exclusion based on (but not limited to):

  • Disability or health status

  • Age

  • Gender or gender identity

  • Race, ethnicity, culture, or nationality

  • Religion or belief system

  • Language

  • Socio-economic background

This policy applies to all aspects of our operations, including admissions, education, vocational training, employment, extracurricular activities, and access to school facilities.

Legal Framework

This policy is guided by:

  • The 1992 Constitution of Ghana, which guarantees fundamental human rights and freedoms.

  • The Persons with Disability Act, 2006 (Act 715), which promotes equal rights and opportunities for persons with disabilities.

  • The Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651), which prohibits discrimination in employment.

Our Commitment
